Lorraine Graham and Cheryl Pallant
@ Ruthless Grip
We hope you can join us on Saturday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. for the next reading in the Ruthless Grip reading series at Washington Printmakers Gallery (1732 Connecticut Ave., second floor, on Connecticut between R and S, several blocks north of the Dupont Circle Q Street metro exit), featuring CHERYL PALLANT and LORRAINE GRAHAM.
Cheryl Pallant's books include Into Stillness, and Uncommon Grammar Cloth, both published by Station Hill (NY, 2003, 2001), and the chapbook, Spontaneities, from Belladonna Press (NY, 2001). Her poetry and fiction have appeared in numerous print and online journals such as HOW2, Moria, lyric, Tarpaulin Sky, and Confrontation. She is also a dancer and co-editor of the dance magazine Contact Quarterly. She teaches classes in creative writing, dance, and a blend of the two at the University of Richmond.
Lorraine Graham edits Anomaly, a magazine of innovative poetry and poetics with an emphasis on writers in greater Washington, DC. She swears that issue No. 3 will appear before May. She is the author of two chapbooks, Dear [Blank] I Believe in Other Worlds (Phylum Press) and Terminal Humming (Slack Buddha Publications). Her poems and reviews have appeared or are forthcoming in The Review of Contemporary Fiction, HOW2, The Poetry Project Newsletter, Submodern Fiction, Primary Writing, Poetic Inhalation, Mirage/Periodical, and elsewhere. Lorraine sometimes teaches writing at the Corcoran College of Art and Design. With Tom Orange and Kaplan Harris, she curates the In Your Ear reading series at the District of Columbia Arts Center.
Ruthless Grip readings have a $3 cover which can be waived for anyone who seriously needs it.
We hope to see you there and for all festivities afterwards!
