Maureen Thorson's first book of poetry, Applies to Oranges, was just released by Ugly Duckling Presse. She is the author of several chapbooks, including Twenty Questions for the Drunken Sailor and Mayport, which won the Poetry Society of America's National Chapbook Fellowship for 2006. She currently lives in Washington, DC, where she co-curates the In Your Ear reading series at the DC Arts Center.

Seth Perlow is a doctoral candidate in English at Cornell University. His dissertation, The Ignorant Muse, examines the rhetoric of not-knowing in American poetry and politics since 1945. Other critical work has appeared in Mantis, The Wallace Stevens Journal, In Media Res, and Convergence. His poetry and translations have appeared in Horse Less Review, elimae, Opium, Carousel, TextSound, Revista Respiro, The Cortland Review, and elsewhere. His first chapbook, Robot Portrait of Homo Futurus, was published by P.S. Books in 2009.

Baked & Wired is located at 1052 Thomas Jefferson Street Northwest Washington D.C., between 30th and 31st Streets, just south of the canal. The nearest subway station is Foggy Bottom-GWU Station. On-street parking is also available.
