Jen Benka is the author of the poetry collections Pinko (Hanging Loose Press) and A Box of Longing With Fifty Drawers (Soft Skull Press); the artist book Preamble, a collaboration with Mark Wagner (Booklyn); and co-author, with Carol Mirakove, of the chapbook 1,138 (Belladonna). Her poems and essays have appeared in numerous print and online publications, including Crossing State Lines: An American Renga (Farrar, Straus and Giroux), Eoagh, Failbetter, How(ever), make/shift magazine, and a forthcoming celebration of the poet Etel Adnan (Post-Apollo Press). She was recently named the Executive Director of the Academy of American Poets, which you can find at Poets.org.

Carol Mirakove lived in the DC metro area from 1994 until 1999 and she received her MFA from George Mason University. The DC community was core to her poetry beginnings and she frequently misses Bridge Street Books. She is the author of Muriel's House (forthcoming from Least Weasel), Mediated (Factory School), Occupied (Kelsey Street), and, with Jen Benka, 1,138 (Belladonna). With the musician bates45 Carol released the single "temporary tattoos" (http://www.beatport.com/track/carol-mirakoves-temporary-tattoos-extended-mix/825330). She lives in New York City.
