Lakefront #1

You say, "All images are conditions of sunlight."

Yesterday's smoke and stars, long white cloud, thin horse in the sky.

You who treasure light. You who carry darkness. You: moon-fish or moon-flower.

When I open my eyes, a flock of green birds flies through me. Impossible darkness, oxide, tender kiss. And I know the body is water. The body is light.
